People Business Partner
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£45,736 - £48,157 per year
35 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We have an opportunity for a People Business Partner in Worcester, to act as a strategic partner to designated business areas, enabling the delivery of people strategies that support organisational goals.
The People Business Partner works closely with leaders and managers to build workforce capability, drive performance, foster an inclusive and engaged culture and ensure compliance with employment legislation through expert advice and data-driven insights.
The job sits within People Services, which is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Learning & Development, developing policy and supporting managers to implement this appropriately in line with the Group's aims.
The role of People Business Partner will include:
- Advising and coaching managers on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes
- Leading investigations, mediations and hearings where appropriate. Promoting early resolution and restorative approaches in care-sensitive environments. Monitoring compliance with employment law and internal standards
- Supporting organisational change initiatives and leading on delivery of operational change, including restructures, TUPE transfers and merger integration. Using workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and drive performance. Playing an active role in key transformation programmes and special initiatives that advance the Group’s priorities
- Coaching managers to implement effective performance practices that enhance capability and support achievement of strategic priorities
- Building and sustaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Playing an active role in shaping and delivering people strategies that underpin the Group’s business priorities
- Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion across all services. Supporting wellbeing initiatives, including mental health support and flexible working arrangements. Working with employee networks and champions to embed inclusive practices
- Facilitating delivery of people services activities (e.g. pay reviews, engagement surveys) and coordinating delivery of communication to business operations
Skills and experiences:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent, and Chartered Member of CIPD (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a strategic HR role, ideally within a complex or multi-site organisation
- Robust knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders
- Proven experience of advising on people and performance management
- Proven experience of dealing with acquisitions and TUPE transfers
- Familiarity with data-driven HR and digital tools
- Ability to interpret computerised information and documentation
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, basic Microsoft Excel and basic Microsoft PowerPoint
