Job Summary:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine (CUSOM), Office of Medical Education is seeking a collaborative and mission driven academic services professional to join our Office of Research Education team as the Program Coordinator for the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP).
This entry to intermediate professional will be vital in supporting the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) by coordinating curriculum activities, program events, and data management systems. Reporting to the Business Services Program Manager, this position serves as a primary point of contact for students, applicants, faculty, and other stakeholders. As a student-facing role, the coordinator is actively involved in major program activities and events. This hybrid position requires up to three days per week on campus, with occasional evening and weekend hours to support key events.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Coordination -
Coordinate MSTP graduate-level courses by managing syllabi, schedules, and faculty participation while ensuring compliance with campus standards.
Oversee logistics and resources including classroom reservations, course materials, Canvas management, and event support.
Support students and faculty through timely communication, accessible learning materials, and on-site assistance during curriculum events.
Student Progression and Data Management
Manage student records and data systems by entering, auditing, and updating key information across program databases.
Coordinate student advising activities by scheduling 1:1 and small group sessions with program leadership.
Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines related to degree progress, onboarding, and student affairs.
Admissions and Recruitment
Coordinate applicant interviews and recruitment activities, including faculty scheduling, applicant itineraries, and student engagement.
Manage travel and logistics for recruitment events, ensuring compliance with program and university guidelines.
Provide on-site support for admissions and recruitment functions across campus and local venues.
Event Planning
Plan and coordinate program events such as seminar series, specialty courses, retreats, journal clubs, and student recruitment activities.
