NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.


SUMMARY
The Operations Management Area Director manages the operations within a community with revenues of around $7.5 million. Provides direction, leadership, and supervision of professional and other staff at the program site to carry out operations and ensure quality services to consumers. Ensures compliance with applicable state and federal standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
• Manages the operations within a community with revenues of around $7.5 million. Provides direction, leadership, and supervision of professional and other staff at the program site to carry out operations and ensure quality services to consumers.
• Responsible for the financial performance of the area business unit, reviews financial statements, oversees purchasing, assures billing compliance, and documentation.
• Implements area core growth strategy to increase census, maximize utilization and occupancy percentages, and assists with new start development as appropriate.
• Maintains and fosters relations with case managers and referral agents; participates in building relationships with local legislators and government officials; and lobbies on behalf of consumers and the Network as appropriate.
• Implements area strategies to maintain and foster relations with consumers, mentors, families, and guardians; and implements consumer satisfaction enhancement plans as appropriate
• Oversees area quality enhancement and implementation plan, coordinating Sevita standards, licensing requirements, and individual consumers’ needs, and reviews area incident reporting.
• Implements area incident management protocol; ensures timely incident reporting and implementation of corrective action; and assists with area investigations.
• Oversees the development and implementation of area health and safety programs for consumers and employees, and supervises area nurses as applicable.
• Maintains area compliance with Sevita and regulatory standards for clean, neat, safe living and working environments; assures pleasant, age-appropriate, well-decorated home-like residential living environments; and directs area maintenance.
• Provides leadership, including direct supervision of Program Directors or other staff; works with regional support team; implements Sevita employee practices; oversees area safety and workers’ compensation implementation; approves area involuntary terminations and reviews written warnings; and assists with employee orientation and training programs.
• Maintains licensing and compliance for area services and supports; assures timely and accurate documentation; oversees area implementation of Sevita compliance plan; and assists with correction orders and oversees implementation of compliance plans.
• Performs other related duties and activities as required.
NOTE: The Area Director role will oversee Facilities Management, Vocational, Transportation, and Structured Day programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and supervises Program Directors and assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within the position responsibilities.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required for the Job
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job:

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and three to six years of related experience with significant management experience in the human services industry
• Master’s degree in Human Services, other education, and experience, preferred
• Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Raintree, PCC, Maintenance Software, and Transportation Software.
• Must also have experience in finance at a high level

Other Requirements:
• Travel as needed

Physical Requirements:
• Medium Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
