Webster Bank is looking to hire a Field Operations Sr. Analyst to create and maintain appropriate levels of operational focus, integrity, and control strategies for our Banking Centers. You will support the implementation of new processes and drive operational standardization, in a cost-effective manner, to foster long-term productivity, efficiency, and quality client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a dedicated resource and mentor for all operations support functions on a wide range of issues, directly supporting the Banking Centers providing guidance on operational matters, account questions, issues, and escalations, considering organizational goals and objectives.

  • Conduct timely, value- added operational reviews of various banking center processes, internal controls, and activities to provide assurances that our clients’ accounts and services are handled in a manner that is consistent with bank policy, procedure, and applicable regulatory requirements. Flag potential risks, redundancies, and fraud that pose threats to the company.
  • Assess banking center management operational strengths and weaknesses and implements action plans.        
  • Coach, develop and train colleagues on new and existing procedures and processes focusing on individual and team development.
  • Conduct regular Operations meetings and workshops to promote awareness, operational consistency and to deepen the knowledge base of the field colleagues.
  • Guide the Banking Centers using best practices and modeling innovative ways to develop solutions and respond to client needs.
  • Administer functions associated with wire approvals, overdraft approvals, bank check approvals and other exceptions.
  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates issues that may appear to be unrelated but are in fact a symptom of a more widespread problem.
  • Monitor cash handling and transaction processing in Banking Centers to ensure client banking needs are handled efficiently and accurately and to resolve large cash differences and facilitate investigations.
  • Monitor reports for compliance with bank and regulatory policy and procedure as needed.
  • Help assess Banking Center management operational strength and provide feedback or recommend changes when necessary; train BC colleagues on existing and/or operational procedures.

Review and coach to CAR Account Reviews of assigned region. CAR Account reviews provide an evaluation of the adequacy of our internal control environment and account opening effectiveness.

  • Ensure that results and corrections of the Account Reviews are reviewed/completed using NARP and/ or written reports within assigned region. 
  • Collaborate with assigned RM to communicate trending findings to ensure a consistent and united message.

Assist with development of policy and operational procedural changes; review policies/procedures for reasonableness and provide recommended changes to supervisor. Identify critical procedural/process deficiencies in relation to new accounts and recommends updates to procedures, guides, and training objectives. Partner with Region Managers in operationally managing the Banking Center Network

  • Collaborate in identifying, recruiting, on-boarding, and retaining top talent into the bank, provide mentoring, guidance and direction to staff. 
  • Assist in developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession, recognizing, and rewarding colleagues for accomplishments. This includes reviewing counseling memos, recommending, and performing terminations and resolving staffing issues.

Oversee assigned Banking Centers QCR and Corporate Audit results.

  • Discuss audit findings and develop resolutions with Banking Center management as necessary.
  • Review and verify operational duties conducted by Banking Center Managing Directors to ensure proper completion and follow-through.
  • Work with Management to ensure proper documentation is complete
