Assistant Controller

Job Requirements

• Oversee revenue recognition and accounts receivable, including invoice submission, disputes and cash collections
• Review international subsidiaries’ monthly financial reporting, and lead the consolidation & elimination process in NetSuite
• Prepare and manage technical accounting calculations, such as internal-use software capitalization & amortization
• Alongside the Controller, ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Assist in preparing technical accounting memos, documentation and support during the year-end audit
• Oversee the preparation, review and distribution of employee payroll in accordance with company policies & employment contracts
• Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment between the company’s financial statements and forward-looking forecasts
• Manage a team of 2-4 direct reports by providing guidance, training and mentorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA Required)
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing direct reports
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting; experience with Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and consolidation methodologies
• Familiarity with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience within the logistics industry preferred

Compensation

• Salary Range: $130,000–$140,000
