Job Description

NBCUniversal Advertising Products & Solutions (AP&S) is responsible for the product development and project management of NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. From sales support to campaign execution, delivery, and billing, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal’s $7B+ annual advertising business. Together, we’re building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.

As a Product Manager for Performance Optimization Activations, you will lead initiatives to improve campaign efficiency through automation, optimization algorithms, and streamlined workflows for buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the roadmap for Performance based campaigns, focusing on workflow automation and optimization features.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering to implement bidding strategies and pacing controls.
  • Develop advanced optimization tools, including KPI-based bidding models and real-time performance reporting.
  • Drive integration with NBCU Ad Sales systems to support real-time targeting and campaign activation.
  • Drive enhancements to reduce manual campaign setup and improve targeting precision.
  • Partner with DSPs and internal systems to integrate optimization algorithms and reporting capabilities.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends and build solutions to recommend improvements.
  • Lead test-and-learn programs for new optimization strategies and automation features.
  • Ensure alignment with NBCU’s broader advertising technology strategy and client needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in product management, preferably in programmatic advertising or ad-tech platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of optimization techniques, bidding algorithms, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Experience with DSPs, Beeswax, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Data-driven approach with proficiency in analytics and reporting tools.
  • Ability to own customer-facing product solutions in cross-functional environments
  • Strong communication skills; can present key updates to stakeholders and lead calls
  • Experience collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Strategy, and Engineering teams to develop and bring to market successful and innovative products
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the demonstrated ability to take the seed of an idea through launch while prioritizing effectively to get things done
  • Knowledge of technical and operational product and project requirements
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate using technical language (e.g., APIs, requirements documents, agile systems, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 2026, this role will contribute a minimum of four days per week from the office.
