A Day in the Life

Seeking a highly motivated Principal Finance Analyst to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and business growth at our MECC manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. This role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a collaborative mindset to align finance with corporate goals and site-specific strategies

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Financial Leadership & Decision-Making:

    • Support the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes (AOP, 10Q) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

    • Provide actionable insights and financial guidance to site operations, supporting data-driven decision-making and cost optimization initiatives.

    • Provide support to the site Sr Finance Manager and sites leadership team on portfolio management, supporting a project team of over 100 FTE, ensuring policy adherence and Strategic Plan.

    • Assist with identifying key financial risks, opportunities, and variances. Support the implementation of countermeasures to ensure financial targets are met.

  • COE & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Liaison between the site and Centers of Excellence (COEs), ensuring seamless communication, support, and alignment on financial objectives.

    • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and other departments to drive financial performance and business growth.

    • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders at both the site and corporate levels, enhancing communication and accountability.

  • Process Improvement & Standardization:

    • Support initiatives to streamline financial processes, standardize reporting, and enhance data accuracy using digital tools like Power BI.

    • Support the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., MPS principles) to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.

    • Support the development and implementation of training programs to increase financial acumen across the site, empowering team members with the knowledge to make informed decisions.

  • On-Site Engagement & Leadership:

    • Partner with site operations to manage savings initiatives, headcount planning, capital forecasts, and budgeting aligned with strategic objectives

    • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, actively participating in gemba walks, tier meetings, and problem-solving sessions.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the site leadership team, delivering clear, concise, and actionable financial insights.

  • On-site 4 days per week

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.


May have broad knowledge of project management.

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Proven experience in finance leadership within a manufacturing or operations environment.

  • Strong understanding of financial planning processes, including AOP, 10Q, and forecasting cycles.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Effective communicator who can translate financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and influencing decision-making.

  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and priorities.
