Alpha Capture Lead

About the Position

We’re looking to hire an experienced Alpha Capture professional to help expand and maintain relationships between Jane Street and our sell-side partners. You’ll be joining our Alpha Capture team, which is comprised of many highly collaborative individuals who all endeavor to build out best-in-class models for day-to-day partner interaction.

You’ll collaborate daily with traders and researchers across the firm to inform priors and bolster relationships between Jane Street and its partners. Your existing industry knowledge of the sell side will add immense value as you work to find new partnerships for Jane Street to form. 

The problems we work on rarely have clean, definitive answers, and they often require insights from people across the firm with different areas of expertise. It’s easy to connect with colleagues no matter their department; we find that we make the most progress when team members collaborate and communicate fluidly. About You

• 5+ years of experience leading an Alpha Capture team at a buy-side institution
• Motivated and entrepreneurial; is eager to build relationships internally and externally
• Open to a variety of techniques and modes of thinking
• Strong quantitative skills
• Humble about what you do and don’t know; willing to admit mistakes
• Enjoys learning new skills and teaching others what you know
• Has the desire to take ownership of ongoing projects and collaborate with colleagues across several departments and geographic regions
