Position Summary:
Pendulum is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Strategic Projects Manager to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate for strategic project manager will handle projects that contribute to the company’s success. These projects represent opportunities for the organization to develop new products, troubleshoot problems or launch initiatives designed to reduce operational costs, defects or waste.Taking on this position, you will be responsible for ensuring a strategic company's goals and infrastructure keep pace with the company's growth by ensuring there is cross-functional alignment and execution against project milestones. Your eyes will be fixed on the long-term results of strategic initiatives that will support future company growth through tactical decisions, and efforts that will build towards gaining sustainable profits for the company.  Working together with other managers, you will work out the best ways to align projects with the company's overall mission. Your job will also include evaluating the workflow, analyzing project portfolios, and creating priorities for tasks within the organization.Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Senior Strategic Projects Manager will play a crucial role in developing Pendulum’s go-to-market operations as the company scales. This person will contribute to establishing a strong foundation of best practices that will enable business growth. What You'll Do:

  • Develop and manage special project assignments as requested by the executive steering committeeInitiate projects and contribute to the development of progress metrics by utilizing established project standards and procedures. 
  • Creates, maintains, develops and continually updates project plans and schedules.
  • Collaboratively lead talent/strength mapping with leadership and utilize workflow data and analytics to drive change and inform decisions.
  • Represent the department on project strategies, communication plans that support established goals and initiatives.
  • Leads project teams both internal and external, communicating individual roles and project expectations.  Ensure a channel for clear communication between managers and employees, play a role in resolving conflict and issues.
  • Independently responds on behalf of the department to operational or service issues and concerns working closely with leadership.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • 20 years of operational experience in Industrial Safety, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project Management
  • Experience with Fill&Finish operations and CMO relationship building
  • Foundational ERP knowledge, experience with NetSuite highly preferred; proven ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; decisive decision making
  • Analytical and methodical approach to information management
  • Continuous improvement and growth-mindset; seeks opportunities for efficiency, is confident to raise them, and capable to address them
  • Flexible and adaptable to a quickly evolving, dynamic start-up environment
  • Passion for entrepreneurship and a bias for action
