Job Location: Philadelphia (Region), PA
Summary:
As a Lead Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installation and/or servicing of integrated systems including Burg and Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Video Solutions. Additional responsibilities include a strong technical aptitude, ability to decipher/design integrated systems in compliance with local jurisdiction requirements, and effective interpersonal skills. Will assist in training of less experienced technicians.
What You’ll Do:
- Install/Service Integrated Systems:
- Complete installation and/or servicing of various types of integrated systems, including integrated burg, card access, video, and fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot integrated systems in high-end residential and commercial applications.
- Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by branch.
- Employ logic and experience to work through system and integrated system issues.
- Assist in design and deployment of projects in concert with local and state building codes and communicate effectively with AHJs.
- Interact and communicate at all levels of the organization and with external customers. Share knowledge, ideas, and solutions.
- Train and mentor technicians:
- Review work of Entry Level through Level 2 technicians on shared job site and provide training to correct any errors.
- Responsible for the work done by all technicians on his/her jobs.
What You’ll Need:
- Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-years of fire detection and signaling systems experience ( fire alarm,burglary, CCTV and access control).
- 5+ years industry experience - Preferred.
- Certification/License:
- Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
- State Licensing is required.
- ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent - Preferred.
- NICET Level 1 Fire- required.
- NICET Level 2 Fire- preferred
- Completion of minimum training/certification checklist required per Technician Career Path OR equivalent experience and demonstrated expertise.
- Communication:
- Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
- Technical:
- Assists in design of integrated systems.
- Understands software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch.
- Possesses the skill to decipher/design integrated systems in conjunction with local jurisdiction requirements.
