The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed cloud systems with direct experience in GPU computing, AI/ML workloads, and high-performance infrastructure. They will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbal, with a history of leading large-scale projects end-to-end.
Qualifications 5+ years distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment Development experience in Java/C++/C# as well as scripting languages. Experience in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and/or Kubernetes Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools for managing distributed systems Strong Linux skills with hands-on experience in Oracle Linux/RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian distributions, including system administration, package management, shell scripting, and performance optimization Experience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, storage, identity) Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices Hands-on experience with GPU-based systems (NVIDIA or AMD), including driver installation, firmware management, and performance troubleshooting Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and distributed training concepts (e.g., NCCL, Horovod, DeepSpeed) Experience supporting or operating large-scale HPC, AI, or GPU-accelerated clusters in production environments Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to all audiences Strong documentation skills with experience documenting infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.As an engineer on the Strategic Customer Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring our cloud infrastructure solutions are designed and built with the highest level of scalability in mind. You will partner with other development teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment that lead to the best customer experience.
This is a high-impact role with high expectations. You will be expected to lead initiatives across engineering, operations, and leadership with minimal supervision. Partner with customer engineering leadership and OCI engineering leadership to ensure the success of your customers Take ownership of problems and work to identify solutions Anticipate and document potential issues impacting customer workloads Work with engineering teams to design infrastructure components such as cloud resources, distributed computing systems, and data storage solutions to support customer workflows Design, optimize, and troubleshoot GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI/ML training and inference workloads Support benchmarking, scaling, and performance analysis of distributed GPU systems Troubleshoot infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure maintainability

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
