SAP General Ledger Specialist

KATBOTZ LLC is seeking seasoned SAP General Ledger Specialist with over 10 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team, focusing on the implementation and optimization of SAP’s general ledger functionalities. Key Responsibilities:

• Development Cycle Management: Oversee all tasks in the development cycle for General Ledger solutions within SAP, including business process definition, system configuration, unit testing, user testing support, training, post-live support, and continuous system improvements.

• Implementation Leadership: Lead the strategic design and implementation of comprehensive SAP General Ledger solutions to streamline financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance processes.

• Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to teams responsible for delivering impactful financial transformation projects for prominent international clients.

• Advisory Services: Offer high-level advisory services in SAP General Ledger management, leveraging in-depth industry knowledge to improve financial processes.

• Collaborative Solutions: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that align with complex financial objectives, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules and financial systems.

• Configuration and Enhancement: Direct the configuration, customization, and enhancement of SAP Finance modules with a focus on General Ledger, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough data analysis to guide financial decision-making and improve reporting accuracy within the General Ledger framework.

• Testing Protocol Development: Create and execute rigorous testing protocols to ensure data integrity and system accuracy in General Ledger operations.

• User Training and Support: Train and support users on new systems and processes to ensure a smooth transition and maximize operational efficiency within the General Ledger area.

• Stakeholder Communication: Manage communications with project stakeholders, track project progress, assess risks, and update strategies to safeguard project success.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• 10+ years of direct experience in general ledger accounting or consulting, with a strong focus on SAP-enabled transformations.

• Proven track record of leading successful SAP General Ledger implementations.

• Extensive understanding of SAP General Ledger functionalities and financial reporting processes, along with a solid grasp of financial systems integration.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA).

• Experience in integrating SAP General Ledger with other SAP financial modules and external systems.

• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in general ledger management.

• Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to manage significant project deliverables effectively.

• Excellent strategic planning, client interaction, project management, and presentation skills.
