Live Production Lead Lighting Systems Engineer

Summary of Position:
Within the Live Production team, our mission is to effectively enhance the overall experience and atmosphere of Gateway Church services. As the Lead Lighting Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in this mission by providing invaluable leadership skills, technical expertise, and support across all our lighting systems.
This position reports directly to the Lighting Operations Director.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of Gateway Church lighting systems.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and support for all lighting systems church-wide.
- Conduct regular system inspections, troubleshooting and updates to maintain reliability and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with Central and Campus Live Production team members to improve lighting system operations and effectiveness.
- Efficiently manage and prioritize helpdesk tickets, providing timely resolutions.
- Provide on-call technical support during weekend services, special events, and conferences to address urgent lighting issues promptly, on a rotational basis with other members of the systems team.
- Program GrandMA2 and GrandMA3 lighting console and/or operate media servers for events and services at any campus, as needed.
General Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of stage lighting design, integration, programming, and operation experience.
- Communicative skills fostering positive relationships with live production staff including our central departments and campus teams.
- Proficiency of rigging principles and safety protocols.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new software and systems like Slack, Monday.com, etc.
General Requirements:
- The employee must be available to work weekdays and weekends as required by the role's demands.
- Regular working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, flexibility is needed to accommodate events and special occasions which may occur outside of these hours.
- Employees are permitted to take Thursday and/or Friday off to balance any weekends worked, ensuring equitable compensation for weekend commitments.
- Salaried positions entail a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week, with an average workload ranging from 45 to 50 hours per week. This may fluctuate based on workload and event schedules, requiring adaptability and willingness to work additional hours when necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- The employee must possess reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and accessibility to various work locations, including all campuses and potentially off-site venues.
- This role involves traveling to all campuses, including prisons, or any Gateway event location.

General Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined below are indicative of the requirements necessary for an employee to effectively carry out the essential functions of the job. While performing these duties, the employee will typically be expected to:
- Sit or stand for extended periods, adapting to the needs of the task at hand.
- Occasionally kneel or crouch, as necessary for specific job activities.
- Engage in work at height, including tasks performed on aerial lifts, ladders and catwalks while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally handle items weighing up to 75 lbs., ensuring proper lifting techniques are employed to prevent injury and maintain workplace safety standards.
- Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level and extreme lighting changes strobes & moving lights.
