WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Transportation Support Specialist is a non-exempt position responsible for providing transportation and on-site supervision to children in out-of-home care.
- Provide transportation and supervision of children to/from school, office, foster and/or group homes, and other locations in the community
- Provide supervision to youth at the office, during transport, or in other community locations, as required
- Provide, strengthen, and maintain a positive mentoring role by developing rapport with youth under supervision
- Utilize de-escalation and intervention techniques to assist in stabilizing youth in crisis
- Assist other program staff and intervene in crisis situations as necessary
- Attempt to create, strengthen, and maintain positive, supportive working relationships between youth, caregivers, and other professionals involved in serving the youth
- Provide completed documentation for services rendered within the required timeframes to case management program staff
- Assist with on-call when necessary in accordance with agency policy and program procedure
- Maintain client confidentiality according to established policies, federal and state statutes, by obtaining needed releases of information
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Available Shift:
- 5:00 pm.-9:00pm.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children and/or families preferred
- Knowledge of child development preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to be dependable, flexible, and empathetic
- Ability to function independently and as a team member
- Ability to use verbal de-escalation skills
