Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental standards in all paint processes.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices for paint application, mixing, and process optimization through current paint supplier training.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of paint usage, refinishing hours, and material volumes for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in paint management, manufacturing, or a related automotive field, with a focus on refinishing processes and cost control.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of paint application processes, including liquid paint, refinishing techniques, and quality control.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in tracking and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to paint consumption, cost, and productivity.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate across departments and businesses.
  • Knowledge of budget management and cost control principles.

Physical Demands:

  • Some work in a production environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, and other environmental factors.
  • Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to a respirator and safety glasses while in a center production area.

Work Environment:

  • The role is primarily a remote position.
  • Occasional travel may be required for center visits, team meetings or supplier meetings.
