Mobile Medical Bus Driver

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Mobile Medical Bus Driver to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for safely transporting Mobile Medical Bus and providing superior service. Drivers must have good communication skills both oral and written to interact with fellow drivers, maintenance and the public they serve. Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are required qualities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organized, punctual and reliable
2. Drive safely, responsibly and be prepared for all road conditions
3. Respect fellow employees, equipment and customers
4. Ensure compliance with the Hours of Service requirements
5. Knowledge of handling a fire extinguisher
6. Pre and post trip checks of the unit each time it is used (emphasis on ensuring adequate fluid, battery charge and tire pressure)
7. Complete all applicable paper work required
8. Communicate with manager at your scheduled time, prepared and ready to go.
9. Fuel/charge batteries as required and record information as per procedure. Dont let fuel go under ½ tank.
10. 12. Maintain a clean bus
11. 13. Complete & submit all pre-trips for all defects
12. 14. Must attend required safety meetings and other training sessions
13. 15. Report unsafe conditions
14. 16. Report an injury
15. 17. Cooperate with the facility manager through involvement in all aspects of the health and safety management system.
16. 18. Comply with applicable laws, regulations and policies
17. 19. Know where registration, inspection and collision reporting documents papers are located
20. Must carry drivers license when on duty driving.
18. If your drivers license becomes lost, stolen or destroyed, Manager must be notified immediately. If drivers license becomes suspended off duty at any point during employment manager must be notified within 24 hours.
19. Must present new/updated drivers license to Human Resource and Manager.
20. Must report any traffic violations to Manager.
21. Must be well groomed and appropriately attired for the season. Uniform may be required.
22. Must be willing to drive in all kinds of weather, light, road and traffic conditions.
23. Any additional duties or tasks assigned by the supervisor

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent. Current, unencumbered drivers license. Safe driving record. Must maintain clean driving record and have a current and active drivers license at all times.
