Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced CVIR Clinical Educator for our Cardiovascular Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a CVIR Clinical Educator, you will:
• Plan, develop and provide educational programs based on departmental needs and strategic priorities
• Establish a yearly strategic plan, provide and act as a resource, and have a clear vision for the service line
• Serve as a mentor and educational advisor for all clinical staff
• Serve an innovator, integrator, and evaluator of professional practice for CVIR staff and make recommendations for clinical practice improvements
• Coordinate orientation, onboarding, and training of staff
• Provide clinical expertise and maintain expert level proficiencies in Cardiac, Interventional Radiology, and Neurological competencies
• In collaboration with departmental leadership, develop individualized educational plans for staff
• Coordinate specialty certification preparation
• Provide support and administrative structure to achieve departmental and organizational goals
• Be actively involved in safety initiatives at the department and interdepartmental levels to improve care outcomes within the micro-system of care
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with other hospital departments
• Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service line teams, meetings, and/or committees representing the department and agency in efforts to improve patient outcomes and quality
• Advocate for professional clinical practice and the interdisciplinary health care team
• Advocates for resources for safe delivery of patient care related to labor, equipment, and facilities in our specialty area with a global perspective

Qualifications include:
• Graduate of an approved, accredited school of nursing; completion of a Master’s degree in Nursing with an emphasis on the Clinical Nurse Specialist Role preferred
• 3-5 years of Cath Lab or interventional Radiology experience required
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Maryland
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Professional Nursing Certification or willing to take exam within 1 year of employment

Work Schedule:

4 x 10hr shifts

on call
