Reporting to the Brand Manager of North American Foodservice Appetizers, the individual will assist in the management and support of all aspects of the marketing mix across the Foodservice Branded and Private Label Appetizer portfolio in North America (US and Canada). The Associate Brand Manager will act as business leader and portfolio expert, working with Customer Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional groups within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and financial acumen, dynamic communication skills, the ability to create and present inspiring propositions through storytelling, and a passion for food. Responsibilities include ownership and accountability for projects that range from new product launches to product renovations, packaging design changes, portfolio and material management, to business reporting and financial feasibility exercises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Profitable growth
- Commercialize portfolio renovation and line extensions (pricing, targets, branding, volume commitments, etc.) with a continual eye on building brands that resonate with customers and consumers.
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams with internal and external key stakeholders, for the delivery of our objectives.
- Manage daily portfolio activities for US and Canadian Foodservice branded and private label portfolio.
Drive Consumer Focus / Customer Excellence
- Lead customer-innovation project teams to deliver agreed metrics with excellence.
- Capture key consumer, customer, industry, market, competition, and restaurant insights and translate these into commercial opportunities to enhance our branded portfolio.
- Initiate and/or approve packaging (graphics, materials, size, etc.).
- Support or lead other projects/duties as assigned or needed
Achieve Business Excellence & Financial Health
- Perform ongoing business analysis and reporting (sales, profit, competitive activity, promotional results, etc.), utilizing internal and external data (e.g. PowerBI, Circana CREST & SupplyTrack, Datassentials, Technomic, etc.) to identify and address key issues and opportunities.
- Ensure a robust understanding of the key drivers for the brand / channel through financial knowledge of the SKUs under the portfolio and their contribution to the business.
- Work with Financial Planning to regularly review SKU margins/costs against agreed key performance indicators.
- Assist in the demand planning process, prepare monthly SKU forecasts and participate in consensus activities.
People & Culture
- Actively participate in cross functional teams to ensure all team members feel part of delivering on the plans.
- Create inclusive and collaborative relationships with key external suppliers, specifically Media, Creative & Packaging agencies.

- Education: Undergraduate Degree. Major in marketing preferred and an MBA is a strong plus.
