Job Description
Preference is for candidates near Perrysburg, Ohio.
The Project Manager is responsible and accountable for defining, planning, managing, and safely executing O-I’s major capital projects related to strategic expansion, furnace footprint optimization and flexibility changes, oxy-fuel conversions, as well as major/minor furnace repairs.
The position will be responsible to effectively manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, scope, cost estimating, forecasting, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning. Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across all major/minor projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects following the global project management fundamental non-negotiables and toll gate process to accomplish the defined scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk management and internal customer/stakeholders expectations.
- Serve as a strategic partner, aligning project execution with business objectives, driving innovation, and leading change initiatives across the organization.
- Driving a construction safety culture on site during project execution and implementing the construction safety fundamentals
- Work along with planning department, engineering and operations discipline leaders to allocate and manage internal and external resources in order to execute the projects.
- Regular reporting of project status and cost to senior corporate and CG leadership
- Rigorous change and contingency management
- Monthly spending forecast preparation
- Ensure project management fundamentals methodologies, practices, and tools are being utilized.
- Ensure project documentation and deliverables, procedures, standards and best practices are produced and stored in a controlled repository (SharePoint/Construction Cloud).
- Assure all project activities are aligned to customer/business requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, project management, or engineering management preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing industries process / engineering / project management - Working knowledge of glass plant process
- Experience on managing CAPEX projects required
- PMP certification by PMI desired
- SAP knowledge desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Construction Cloud
Travel: 30-50%

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position will be between $120,000 - $145,000, with a potential 15% STI. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
