About the Finance & Legal team:
Formic provides robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) and the Finance & Legal team is a key part of providing the “as-a-service” part of RaaS. The Finance & Legal team is part of the foundational infrastructure of RaaS–think the wiring, plumbing or framing of a house that is not seen, but is a critical part of making the house stand, last and function properly. The Finance & Legal team is responsible for financial operations; treasury and finance; accounting; credit; legal; compliance; and customer contracting and financial servicing.
As Senior Financial Operations & Legal Analyst, you will:
- Review and draft transactional documents including contracts, leases, agreements, and other legal documents
- Organize and maintain contracts, corporate records, and legal files
- Assist in initiating, reviewing, revising, and negotiating non-disclosure agreements and commercial agreements
- Manage internal review and approval processes for contracts and other legal documents
- Conduct regulatory and legal research and prepare summaries on matters related to finance, federal and state regulatory compliance, insurance, tax, and intellectual property
- Assist with management and coordination of litigation matters, regulatory audits and inquiries, and related filings
- Summarize and effectively communicate contractual terms and other business and legal matters
- Assist with formation, maintenance, and dissolution of corporate entities, including preparation and maintenance of corporate resolutions and records, organizational charts, corporate profiles, annual filings, etc.
- Interface with members across teams to ensure proper administration of legal documents and compliance with business and contractual requirements
- Development of policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with peers
- Handle confidential information appropriately, including where appropriate, sequestration of documents and information
- Assist team with other projects as assigned
- Prepare meeting materials and provision of other legal support activities
- May provide oversight for other employees
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in roles involving legal research and analysis, financial services operations, compliance, and/or contract drafting and review, paralegal, and/or related experience involving transactional and corporate matters
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Possess an optimistic attitude with a willingness to dive in and handle unfamiliar matters
- Possess exceptional organization, prioritization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight
- Experience with project management is highly desired
- Experience with a contract management system is a plus, but not required
- Experience in commercial and/or consumer finance is a plus, but not required
