Provide day-to-day management and administration of research grant and contract program operations, working with the principal investigators to manage all finances, personnel, property, facilities, compliance, sponsor relations, and collaborations. Ensure all deliverables meet grant/contract requirements within budget and timeline. Coordinate with principal investigators on preparing submitting proposals and reports to the National Institutes of Health and other sponsors.Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of administrative, financial, or research experience, including one (1) year in a leadership role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of grant/contract administration, regulatory requirements, and the application of regulatory and strategic planning principles to problem-solving. Proficiency with computers and related software (e.g., Excel, Access, SharePoint, Project Server), along with strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project management system to track all study team tasks and deliverables for research grant/contracts, ensuring compliance with funding source specifications.
- Maintain budgets and budget-tracking systems for each grant/contract, monitor expenditures, forecast future costs, and recommend allocation adjustments to meet budgetary goals.
- Complete (not including the scientific sections) and submit research grant/contract proposals to the national institutes of health and other funding sources. Included are detailed budgets, fiscal plans, description of resources and environments for carrying out the project, small business plans and policies, and itemized budget justification for all the periods of performance.
- Prepare contracts for contractors, subcontractors, and consultants for work to be completed on federal grants and contracts.
- Participate in negotiations for contracts for external funding. Prepare and implement all contract agreements, amendments, and modifications in consultation with institutional business/contracts administrators.
- Complete, approve, and track all purchase requisitions for purchases and service orders as well as all invoices from federal grants, contracts, and subcontractors. Approve all equipment, supply, and software purchases from research funds.
- Manage all elements of property, facilities, and operations including inventory, space acquisition, security and maintenance, utilization, telecommunications and information technology, and resources.
