Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Vaccine Manager to oversee all aspects of vaccine distribution and administration across our organization. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) or have equivalent degree, with 3-5 years of experience working with VFC (Vaccines for Children) and VFA (Vaccines for Adults) programs. Familiarity with the CAIR system is required. Experience with Athenahealth is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all clinical logistics related to vaccine distribution and administration to ensure safe and efficient processes.
Manage vaccine protocols and workflows, ensuring they align with current standards and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for vaccine management.
Serve as the point of contact for any issues related to the cold chain, ensuring vaccines are stored and transported under optimal conditions.
Collaborate closely with the clinical practice group, participating in quality assurance meetings to present data on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Ensure all staff meet competencies and metrics related to vaccine reporting and training and compliance with management plans.
Accurately log, track, and manage vaccine inventory.
Work closely with the VFC/VFA team on supply management, audits, and special projects.
Manage the DDL system including setup of devices and probes, real-time troubleshooting, and maintenance of accuracy and reliability of all data loggers used in vaccine storage.
Train vaccine-designated clinicians for local and national vaccine initiatives.
Maintain and regularly update the Vaccine Management and Transport Plan.
Ensure that par levels are consistently maintained in line with vaccine initiatives.
