In Manitowoc we heavily support automotive customers with flexible sound barrier and non-carpet flooring sheet. Our sound barrier product also is used in building and construction and energy markets for sound control applications. Manitowoc also produces black color concentrate pellets which are used in our customers process to color their end products.

We are currently looking for a Production Planner to join our production team to support our variety of customers. Job Summary:

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, organizing and executing production schedules for the plant.

Essential Job Duties:

• Under general direction, ensures the production schedules are current and sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfill customer delivery requirements.
• Checks production activity to provide a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
• Works with management to organize schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labor shortages.
• Prepares raw material purchase orders with suppliers.
• Maintains production scheduling recordkeeping in SAP.
• Coordinates with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production. Resolves raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.
• Communicates and coordinates with suppliers, PolyOne Central Planning, Logistics, and Warehouse Operations.
• May assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool and manpower requirements.
• Other project/duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 7 years' cross functional experience problem solving techniques within a manufacturing industry.
• 7 years' experience with safety procedures.
• 7 years' manufacturing operations experience.
• SAP experience.
• Inventory/Purchasing systems experience.
