The Senior Manager of Protective Services, is responsible for managing all strategic and administrative oversight for the teams falling within Executive Protection and Physical Security operations. This critical role facilitates seamless operational efficiency of all Physical Security operations. The Sr Manager of Protective Services will take a hands-on approach in the development and execution of: security policy design, budget allocation, risk assessments, and training programs. This position will support preventing, responding to, and recovering from security incidents and protection of executives.

What you’ll do

  • Managing internal and external security policy to ensure the safety of employees and its offices
  • Leading all aspects of physical security vendors and assisting in contract negotiations
  • Embodying the core principles of the physical security team and serving as a liaison between internal and external partners
  • Partnering with and advising facilities during the build-out process
  • Maintaining the highest ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Documenting training efforts and providing regular reporting to Senior Leadership on the status of policy development and training
  • Overseeing risk designations and corresponding security resource recommendations
  • Coordinating the efforts of cross-functional partners on projects including the response to security concerns
  • Participating as a key member of Crisis Management planning and Business Continuity teams
  • Serving as the primary Physical Security Operations representative within a Emergency Operations Center during crisis events
  • Delivering core security solutions, alternatives and recommendations in support of Executives
  • Ensuring the Executive Protection and Executive Residential Security Systems & Maintenance Programs are current, relevant, understood, comprehensive, compliant, and operationally effective
  • Coordinating contract executive protection provider performance, service delivery, standard operating procedures and escalation protocols for the close protection and residential security teams
  • Integrating Protective Services and acting as a liaison with organizational partners in the Global Security Operations Center, Threat Intelligence & Investigations, Physical Security Systems, Security Operations, Executive Administration, Information Technology Security Engineering, to include membership in appropriate committees, working groups and recurring meetings
  • Managing the ongoing protective security, threat assessment, risk management, intelligence, and logistical services for the Executive team

What you bring

  • 10+ years experience in security operations, law enforcement, or military
  • 7+ years experience in a corporate security operations role
  • 7+ years of working knowledge and experience in Executive Protection or related field
  • 5+ years of vendor management experience
  • Experience planning, leading and executing advanced global protective detail
  • Experience with residential security systems and operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, organizational management, or related field
  • Familiarity with security program automation and implementation
  • Ability to travel between offices regionally and globally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
