About the role

Pay:  140,000.00 – 160,000.00 

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implementation of algorithms that run on a robot in real-time in a safety critical application that involves autonomous interactions with the surrounding world in an uncontrolled environment.
  • Develop cutting edge robotics technology at the intersection of machine learning, AI, and classical robotics. 
  • Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively.
  • Test and deploy work in simulation and in the real world on state-of-the-art robotics hardware.
  • Ability to work with other team members in the development of an ambitious and innovative product and/or result.
  • Exceptional qualities in the areas of:
    • Understand client needs. 
    • Work with colleagues. 
    • Review existing technical tools. 
    • Ensure product quality. 
    • Perform system test. 
    • Identify software bugs.
  • Engage with team members & customer enabling faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful results.
  • Turnkey Project Management skill including but not limited to Project Start-up, Commissioning, Loop-check, Project Organization, Planning & Acceptance. 
  • Documenting the design, process, procedures, tests, etc. Development of Standard/non-standard Operating & Maintenance Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Regulations, codes, Permits, Standards Specially NEC (National Electrical Codes), IEEE (International Society of Electrical & Electronics Engineers) Standards/codes & ISA (International society of Automation) Standards 
  • Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.

Education, Experience, & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering is desirable but not required. 
  • 10+ years relevant robotic & automation work experience.
  • 5+ years PLC programming, robotics programming, automation programing and control & automation integration.
  • Certified Control System Technician (CCST) or Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or equivalent credentials desirable but not required. Ability to obtain these credentials in 6-12 months.
  • Electrical Journeyman (CA Electrical Certification) or equivalent required.
