Hitachi Energy is seeking a Commissioning & Installation Team Leader for North America Grid Integration Business Unit. The Grid Integration business is experiencing tremendous growth in EV charging systems, high voltage direct current projects, power consulting, power quality solutions, and many other exciting offerings in North America.
In this role you will lead a team of highly competent commissioning managers and technical installation managers. This role is responsible to oversee equipment installation and testing; for the delivery of fully a functional system to the customer.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operations of the team ensuring projects are staffed and work is completed as scheduled aligning with the project execution team.
- Coach and develop the team to execute safely at a high level with integrity and exceptional customer service.
- Drive commissioning and installation process improvements and expand the use of digital execution tools to improve efficiency and quality.
- Lead pre-project proposal and tender support for commissioning: providing scope, duration, resources, and budget data.
- Collaborate with Manager of Field Service to develop and implement strategic business initiatives ensuring the growth and profitability of the business.

Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated systems commissioning and/or systems engineering experience.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Experience with startup and commissioning of systems used in power conversion, large scale drives, large scale automation, other heavy industrial applications such as generation, mining, metals, propulsion, or renewables.
- Ability to lead and motive your team, plan and coordinate their site activities, estimate project time and material requirements while managing multiple priorities.
