Join over 2,700 employees across 10 offices who are growing their careers while having a positive impact on people globally.</p><p>About the Role:</p><p>We are seeking experienced Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations Manager. In this crucial role, you will manage our Transaction Monitoring (TM) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices whilst implementing efficiency and streamlined processes that scale, and tools to ensure optimum output following SLAs. The AML Operations Manager will help develop and implement strategies to detect and report suspicious activities, collaborating across the global compliance and product teams, and maintaining an AML Operations framework to support our goals and initiatives.</p><p>We are looking for people who are ready to work in a fast-paced enironment. The Operations Manager will report directly into the Remitly AML Compliance Director. This will be a hybrid role where you will be onsite in the Cork Office three days each week.</p><p>You Will:</p><ul><li>Develop and execute succession planning, recruiting, retention and career development strategies directly and together with peers, Human Resources and Recruiting;</li><li>Create and collaborate operational global objectives (OKRs) to ensure effective performance, process or tool improvements and scalability;</li><li>Proactively identify operational risks or issues and work with internal and external partners and stakeholders for solutions;</li><li>Identify and help create new metrics, KPIs, reporting and monitoring to drive operational excellence;</li><li>You will coach, develop and provide guidance to your team while creating an environment that motivates, rewards and supports the team</li><li>Oversee daily AML operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution</li><li>Conduct regular reviews and assessments of AML processes to identify areas for continuous improvement and efficiency;</li><li>Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards;</li><li>Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders;</li><li>Design new investigative processes, to manage new product risks;</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally on tool enhancements to ensure effectiveness of AML systems;</li><li>Report to and act as a liaison between the AML Operations Team and MLROs across the globe;</li><li>Support and respond to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and other external and internal parties;</li></ul><p>You Have:</p><ul><li>Experience with AML operations management with minimum of 8-10 years' experience in AML operations, and a comprehensive understanding of AML global requirements, reporting and best practices;</li><li>Strong Team management skills;</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to make informed decisions based on complex data;</li><li>Demonstrated success working under pressure of deadlines with competing priorities;</li><li>Experience working with and a willingness to adjust schedules to accommodate global emerging business needs;</li><li>Knowledge of the financial services or payments industry;</li><li>ICA ML/FCC qualifications or ACAMS required.</li></ul><p>Our Benefits:</p><ul><li>34 days of vacation (including public holidays)</li><li>Group private medical insurance with Irish Life &amp; Health</li><li>Group pension (6% contributed) and group income protection</li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) available for eligible employees</li><li>Learning and development benefits.</li></ul><p>We are committed to nondiscrimination across our global organization and in all of our business operations.
