About you
You will be a qualified production or maintenance management professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management experience and the ability to build and retain a highly motivated and technical team. Ideally you will have significant experience in a large marine engineering or construction project environment.
To be successful you will have:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Trade background and experience to equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining delivery to high technical and quality standards
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Contract Administration experience
- Wide range of experience and knowledge in the Defence Industry (preferred)
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for the execution of maintenance activities in a safe manner through planning, managing and controlling of personnel and materials. This will ensure production activities achieve timely performance, compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations and maximise efficiencies for RAN maintenance periods.
You will lead quality assurance for production work and ensure tasks are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and correct work practices are always engaged, whilst promoting the health and safety of everyone who works for and supports Babcock.
Reporting to the Project Manager for RMP West - this permanent position will require working from both Garden Island and Henderson in WA.
Other duties may include (but not limited to):
- Preparing weekly progress reports and present weekly project dashboard,
- Preparing and review the integrated master schedule and project risk register to deliver planned maintenance activity objectives,
- Preparing requisitions and reviewing subcontractor submissions to deliver maintenance activity objectives,
- Attending site meetings with the project team to discuss progress of project, HSE compliance and other project issues; and
- Attending progress, safety, and contractor meetings, providing advice and direction as required.
To be successful you will have:
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Trade background and experience to equivalent
