Position Summary

The Senior System Architect position will provide innovative ServiceNow solutions that provide high-end on IT Service Mgt (ITSM), Strategic Portfolio Mgt (SPM), IT Operations Mgt (ITOM) and/or IT Asset Mgt (ITAM) services built to accommodate an ever-changing and constantly evolving enterprise needs.  We are looking for a passionate ServiceNow-skilled individual to help continue the growth of our ITAM architecture and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ServiceNow platforms and be able to apply industry best practices to our suite of application architectures, technologies, tools and provide thought leadership to the organization. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in the ServiceNow IT Asset Management space and play a key role in influencing roadmap development. The ideal candidate will require minimal guidance and supervision, maintain a positive attitude, possess excellent communication skills and serve as a mentor to other team members. 

This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in designing governance and standards activities for technology architecture compliance. Participates in hardware and software technology and product standards selection. Participates and contributes in system architect reviews and ensures architecture adherence.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure system architecture alignment with business objectives. Identifies organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture
• Evaluates and selects appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for systems. Assesses technology industry and market trends and their impact on the enterprise. Evaluates technology options and advises on technology investment decisions.
• Analyzes and translates business and technical requirements into system designs. Designs and implements end to end system architectures that meet business requirements.
• Defines system integration approaches and ensures interoperability of system components. Provides guidance and support to development teams during system implementation. Leads technology change initiatives to deliver business outcomes. May oversee technology implementation and modification activities.
• Documents and communicates technology architecture design and analysis work. Leads the development of system architecture documentation and diagrams.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred, related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant architecture experience required
• Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, implementation and service delivery required
• Experience with ServiceNow platform integration design, development and support required
• Strong understanding of, and hands-on experience with, ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Configuration Mgt and Asset Mgt preferred
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge and Portfolio Mgt modules preferred
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and Release Mgt processes preferred
• Experience partnering with integrated suppliers, service providers, business facing IT, and stakeholders to deliver solutions preferred
