THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to fill the role of Senior Specialist, Buyer/Planner and join our growing Supply Chain team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the supply plans and purchasing to maintain a healthy inventory to meet our aggressive fast-paced global growth. This will include managing the purchasing of packaging materials, components, and other raw materials to meet our organization's production and operational needs. You will mitigate risks by leveraging multiple suppliers while ensuring on time deliveries, COGS and key KPI’s are met.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Purchasing our ideal candidate is proficient in supply and production planning along with having extensive knowledge and experience in Global purchasing and procurement. You are passionate about your work, extremely organized, and possess a desire to continuously improve efficiencies and optimize costs. Additionally, you excel at building rapport and strong working relationships both internally and externally.

For this specific role, we are looking for someone who can speak fluent English and Mandarin. This is a 100% remote position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Supply and Production Planning

• Create and manage monthly supply forecasts to meet desired days of supply targets.
• Continuously monitor inventory levels and optimize reorders to strike a balance between minimizing shortages and excess stock.
• Implement inventory control strategies to maximize working capital efficiency while ensuring uninterrupted production.
• Ensure accurate PO placement of required materials to support all forecasted inventory and non-inventory items.
• Work closely with the Demand Planning, Growth, Finance and Marketing Teams to align production plans with sales forecasts, ensuring product availability to meet customer demand.

• Determine optimal allocation of POs to support our global growth strategies, identifying contingency plans that take lead time, volatility, seasonality, capacity, and production minimums into consideration to optimize DOS by location.

Purchasing

• Own and manage the day to day relationships and communications with multiple suppliers. Foster strong relationships and open lines of communication with suppliers to ensure timely order placement, production and on time delivery of packaging, components and other materials.
• Work closely with the Sourcing, Demand Planning, Quality and Logistics teams to ensure smooth handoffs and flow in the material reorder process.
• Order strategically using the optimal cost tiers, transportation methods and supplier capacities and quality ratings.
• Create and maintain supplier production schedules that support demand forecasts and production capacities.
• Own the strategic placement of purchase orders and ensure landed costs, payment terms and subsidiary routing are captured.
• Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure all pertinent documentation, specifications, testing and other item specific needs are managed.
• Manage product design updates and artwork revisions working with the sourcing, creative, quality and marketing teams. Understand the timing and communicate to all internal parties to ensure a well thought out implementation. (Understanding of Flexographic, Lithographic, Rotogravure and digital printing applications and tooling).
• Understand each supplier facility constraints, product flow and process lead times to Identify potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints and propose solutions.
• Aid the sourcing team in the supplier set up and onboarding processes for system based requirements.
• Ensure risk mitigation by purchasing each item using multiple suppliers and regions.
• Work to efficiently plan and organize shipment timing at the factory level and ensure all INCO terms, HS Codes and docs are accurate and being communicated and sh
