AECOM has an opening for an Electrical Engineer with Technology experience to support our growing B+P business line in Detroit, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; or Minneapolis, MN

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under the guidance of senior staff.

  • Assist in design of structured Telecom and Security cable infrastructure and pathways to support Voice, Data, Wi-Fi, CATV, Paging, Audio Visual, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and other IP-Based systems.

  • Assist in design of Telecom Room layouts including connection, outlet, and system details, copper and fiber backbone transmission media and one-line diagrams, interior and exterior pathways and sizing, system equipment elevations, system diagrams, and system schedules.

  • Construction oversite including specifications and contract drawing compliance, conducting site visits, formulating construction observation reports, and review of Submittals, RFIs, test results and other related Construction Administration tasks.

  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

  • Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.

  • Collaborating with the Managing Principal or MEP Practice Leader.

  • Working cooperatively with managers and other employees to achieve the company's mission.

  • Ensures discipline plans meet overall project team requirements for scope and schedule.
