The University of Washington Information School is recruiting Master's students for MSIM Online hourly Reader/Grader positions. You will have an opportunity in one of the required application forms to indicate which course(s) you are interested in supporting. Each course will be assigned a Reader/Grader who may work up to 9.5 hours per week. Opportunities to support two courses for up to 19 hours per week may be available.
Responsibilities may include some or all the following duties:
Prepare and grade exams and papers, maintain grading records, manage, and respond to course related email, attend instructor/employee meetings, attend lectures and office hours, and review literature. Reader/Graders may not perform teaching duties.
Pay:
$22.68 - $24.27 per hour based on experience.

- Per the UW Student Employment policy hourly student employees are limited to a maximum total of 19.5 hours per week during the active academic year. If students have more than one hourly on campus job, the 19.5 maximum hours per week includes all hourly student appointments combined. It is the students’ responsibility to ensure that they do not exceed the maximum number of hours per week.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be located in the United States for the duration of the appointment.
- Master's students enrolled in a minimum of 5 credits at the University of Washington Seattle during Summer 2026 or International students on their annual vacation leave quarter.
- Strong interest and ability to work with students having diverse skill levels.
- Prior completion of MSIM courses with strong performance or demonstrated proficiency in the courses content.
