We’re looking for an experienced back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.

As a software developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver solutions. Using your software engineering experience, you’ll work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods
• 2+ years of experience with Python development
• Experience with professional development using AWS serverless architecture
• Experience with a variety of analytics, including file, network, or host-based
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Experience working within a collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with embedded programming and scripting languages, including Java, JavaScript, C, or C++
• Experience with Intrusion Detection, Analytics, Information Sharing, Intrusion Prevention, or Core Infrastructure
• Experience with shell scripting using Bash or PowerShell
• Experience with network monitoring tools, including Wireshark, tcpdump, Zeek, SiLK, or YAF
• Experience with Linux operating system
• Experience analyzing databases, source code, hosts, middleware, application, Local Area Network (LAN), and Internet networks across the Open System Interconnect (OSI) model
• Experience developing real or near real-time automation
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• AWS Certification, including Developer, DevOps, or Application Architect Certification
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
