The Opportunity 

As an intern on the One Medical Talent Management team (TMT), you will be at the forefront of helping team members thrive in their careers. You will support our efforts to create enjoyable new hire onboarding experiences and career development opportunities for One Medical employees. You will  learn about what goes into creating an effective onboarding program for new hires, and research methods to make our programs as engaging, effective, and fulfilling as possible. With the support of your manager, you will not only learn about talent management but also share your insights and perspectives as we are always looking for new ideas and creative solutions in key areas.  

Although learning about all aspects of Talent Management, this role will sit on our Onboarding, Leadership, and Career Development team. They support a new hire’s journey at One Medical from when they sign their offer letter through their tenure at One Medical. Some of their signature programs include New Hire Orientation, the BIPOC Mentorship program, Emerging Leaders Program, and One Medical University. If you are an analytical thinker who likes finding creative solutions to difficult problems, and helping people reach their full potential, an internship and eventual career in Talent Management might be great for you.

 

What you'll likely work on:

• Shadowing our full-cycle onboarding process for new team members from your first day in orientation to our onboarding summit so you can provide a fresh perspective and offer improvements.
• Gather and analyze data on our technology stack to create data-driven decisions that lead to a better experience and reduce errors. 
• Supporting the team with the necessary logistics to run an effective TMT function such as drafting communications, updating our intranet, analyzing survey data, and answering common employee questions.
• Cross-functional projects that support training, onboarding operations, and/or the new hire experience.

What you’ll need:

• Must be rising Junior or Senior 
• An interest in human resources and/or talent management
• Strong written and verbal communication
• The ability to manage projects that require one to be detail oriented and collaboration with others 
• Growth mindset and desire to try new things and learn from others
• Demonstrated ability to pick up new technology platforms and tools quickly

This is a 40-hour per week virtual internship for 10 consecutive weeks starting on 6/10/24 and concluding on 8/16/24. Our 2024 internship program is currently set up as a virtual internship (subject to change) in which interns can be located in any market where we operate clinics (see our locations here), however your core hours will align with the standard business hours for the team you are working with during your internship.
