We are looking for a professional like yourself to join our team!  This position supports the daily operation of automated metal Pretreatment and Electrocoat processes at the Lucid Motors Casa Grande Assembly Plant in central Arizona.  The chosen candidate will provide on-site technical and application knowledge for the cleaning and coating materials supporting those processes.  The role responds to customer requirements, enforces product quality/performance specifications, and supports new product/application development.  The Customer Site Service Rep II (CSSR II) will provide on-site expertise of product performance including process management and optimization, defect identification, and corrective action, as required. S/he will develop and support customer relationships.

 

The role supports the efforts of a BASF Sales/Technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis, and resolution. The position assures product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer's supplier of choice.

 

The incumbent will demonstrate the technical and professional expertise to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer.  S/he will integrate within the business and technical community to bring additional value to ECO coatings division customers. The role controls key performance indicators within product service environments to drive problem resolution and product improvement initiatives critical to customer performance expectations.
 

As a Customer Site Service Rep II (CSSR II), You Create Chemistry By...

 

•    Supporting the daily operation of BASF products operating in customer manufacturing plants.
•    Providing on-site technical and application expertise of product performance including process management, defect identification, and corrective action, as required.
•    Assuring product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer’s supplier of choice.
•    Responding to customer requirements, enforcing product quality/performance specifications, and supporting new product/application development.
•    Supporting the efforts of a BASF Sales/Technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis, and resolution.
•    Supporting the validation and launch of new processes and/or materials within the customer’s operations.
•    Managing existing relationships and developing new ones.
 

If you...

 

•    Leverage your educational and professional background in paint applications or manufacturing, you will provide on-site expertise of products, their application and performance.  
•    Utilizing your inventory control/ERP knowledge you will collect and analyze data and apply results to make material and/or process recommendations. 
•    Your strong attention to detail will allow you to continuously inspect and evaluate coated units for defects (e.g., foreign material, thin paint, mapping, and other Pretreat/E-Coat related defects). 
•    Your excellent interpersonal skills will help you build relationships with the customer teams and management at your location; including line operators and process maintenance personnel. 
•    Your strong leadership ability will allow you to run a shift on your own with minimal supervision. 
•    1+ years of Automotive Coatings Industry or equivalent experience is preferred  
•    Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma (or GED) plus Equivalent Experience
