Job Description

The Regional Senior Vice President (Google Cloud) will be responsible for driving and owning the Google Cloud business within the financial services sector for the U.S. market. This role involves building the business from the ground up, developing strategic initiatives, and executing growth plans tailored to the financial services industry.  

The ideal candidate must have a deep network of connections within the Google Cloud, either directly from Google or through established Google Cloud partners, to leverage relationships and foster business growth. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Owns and drives the growth of the Google Cloud business within the financial services sector, ensuring strategic alignment with market needs. 
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to build the Google Cloud business from the ground up in the U.S. market. 
  • Leverages an extensive network of connections within Google Cloud, including direct relationships with Google and Google Cloud Partners, to foster business development and expansion. 
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, drive customer engagement, and deliver innovative cloud solutions tailored to financial services clients.  
  • Maintains knowledge of the technical specialism at the highest level by, for example, reading relevant literature, attending conferences and seminars, meeting and maintaining contact with others involved in the technical specialism, and taking an active part in appropriate professional and trade bodies. 
  • Keeps in close touch with and takes a leading role in contributing to current developments in the technical specialism within employing organizations, own industry, and in appropriate professional and trade bodies. Is fluent at articulating best practices and is a recognized authority in the technical specialism. 
  • Controls the application of the technical specialism within employing organizations and closely associated organizations such as customers, suppliers, and partners. Oversees specific assignments related to the technical specialism, where appropriate. 
  • Leads the development and promotion of the technical specialism. Initiates and authorizes the release of quality standards and policies relating to the technical specialism. 
  • Takes responsibility for the provision of quality assurance of activities involving technical specialism. 
  • May provide input to professional bodies defining applicable legislation, standards, and compliance guidelines. 
  • Writes, or contributes to articles and papers and speaks at conferences, user groups, or specialist subject groups on topics involving technical specialism. Champions and/or sponsors special interest groups concerned with the technical specialism. 
  • Provides organizational leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of technical knowledge in the organization. 
  • Within a defined area of accountability, determine the requirements for appropriate governance reflecting the organization's values, ethics, and wider governance frameworks. Communicates delegated authority, benefits, opportunities, costs, and risks. 
  • In own areas of expertise, provides advice and guidance to consultants and/or the client when delivering consultancy services. Takes responsibility for the quality and appropriateness of recommendations. 
  • Manages provision of consultancy services, and/or management of a team of consultants. 
  • Establishes agreements/ contracts and manages completion and disengagement. 
  • Takes responsibility for the identification, proposal, and winning of further business for own areas of expertise, within a larger consulting practice or organization, including putting in place agreements/ contracts and managing completion and disengagement. 
  • Engages with client management to explore new opportunities and/or grow client relationships. 
  • Provides mentoring to client staff and consultant colleagues, transferring skills and expertise.
