Senior On-Site Service Specialist

Position Profile

The Senior On-Site Service Specialist provides service coverage across three local sites (Farmington, Windsor Locks, and East Hartford). This role performs a variety of on‑site service, mailroom, shipping/receiving, and delivery functions while ensuring exceptional customer service.

This position requires:

• Driving company vehicles, including a small box truck
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
• Comfort with technology and standard office equipment
• Strong reliability and customer service skills

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform document scanning and imaging
• Sort, pick up, and deliver mail and packages
• Distribute office supplies, mail, fax transmissions, and deliveries to personnel or drop-off points
• Complete filing duties, including archiving and purging of documents
• Deliver completed jobs to designated locations within or outside the site
• Maintain daily meter readings and service logs
• Travel between company buildings as needed
• Perform tasks related to shipping and receiving materials
• Assist with light maintenance and cleaning duties
• Operate office equipment including copiers, fax machines, postage meters, calculators, and basic PC tasks
• Provide support in a mailroom environment, including dock work
• Demonstrate understanding of the Ricoh Services Portfolio and Technology
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience & Certifications)

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of related work experience
• Copy/print center experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and proof of required auto insurance (per Ricoh standards)
• Basic computer competency, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures
• Basic electronics knowledge preferred
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and stay flexible
• Ability to select proper packing methods/materials and verify packing slips
• Ability to understand and follow mail delivery instructions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions, Mental & Physical Demands

• Frequent exposure to:
  • Copier/fax machine noise
  • Toner and variable room temperatures
  • Potential paper cuts, box handling
• Exposure to outdoor weather when traveling between buildings
• Physical effort including:
  • Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing
  • Lifting/moving up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing/pulling equipment up to 400 lbs on wheels (for repairs or relocation)
• Daily interaction with customers, managers, employees, and dispatch; occasional vendor communication
