About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installer Manager to lead and support our residential installation team. This is a full-time, direct-placement opportunity with a well-established local mechanical contractor. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical HVAC knowledge, proven leadership experience, and the ability to manage residential installation projects from start to finish.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the residential install team on-site and in planning.
   
• Conduct team training, performance evaluations, and provide on-the-job guidance to ensure high-quality workmanship.
   
• Collaborate with project managers and the service department to coordinate and schedule installations efficiently.
   

Project Oversight:

• Oversee residential HVAC system installations, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
   
• Review project scope and plans to ensure all installations are completed accurately and on time.
   
• Monitor job progress, resolve issues, and ensure appropriate materials and equipment are on-site.
   

Technical Expertise:

• Provide hands-on support for complex installations or troubleshooting when needed.
   
• Stay current on equipment, installation techniques, and manufacturer guidelines.
   
• Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal code requirements.
   

Customer Service & Communication:

• Represent the company professionally with homeowners and clients.
   
• Communicate project timelines, updates, and installation processes clearly to customers.
   
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction through clean, accurate, and timely installs.
   

Sales Support & Job Development:

• Identify and communicate additional service opportunities during installation.
   
• Support coordination between sales and installation departments for smooth transitions.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience  
• Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred  
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record  
• EPA Certification  
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents  
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical labor as needed  

Preferred:

• NC State HVAC license (or equivalent)  
• OSHA 10/30 certification  
• Experience with ductless mini-split, heat pump, and high-efficiency systems
