Position Overview

 QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to support our client in Falls Church, VA. Work will include support to the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve.  The Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve conducts system of systems prototype experimentation to address Joint and Combatant Command's warfighting needs within two years.  Duties include:

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Senior Technical Analysts will be responsible for analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness, assessing program development and execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assessment of program execution will include operational relevance, technical expertise, and evaluation of financial and programmatic execution.
  • Must be able to independently evaluate and report on the efficacy of technological and programmatic approaches to technology development in the OUSD (R&E) modernization areas.
  • Will be required to assess RDER proposals in development and assist proposal teams in establishing viable technology maturation approaches, capability deliverable definition, and transition strategies.
  • Must be able to assist teams in establishing experimentation plans that represent low financial execution risk, yet adherence to DOD Comptroller obligation and execution rate benchmarks.
  • Given the inherent relationships between technical tasks, operational tasks, and integration tasks with cost and schedule, Senior Technical Analysts must be able to detect programs trending toward cost and schedule overruns and recommending mitigation strategies to bring projects back into acceptable performance parameters.
  • Must be able to perform these described duties for approximately 10 - 20 individual experiments across various functional and technology areas.
  • Occasional travel required to engage with service labs, combattant commands, and relevant conferences (10 - 20%)
  • Mix of telework and work in classified spaces will be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Recognized engineering, scientific, technical, management or related discipline that is relevant to the contract.
  • Minimum of ten years of DoD experience in Technology Development and maturation, project management and/or test and evaluation.
  • TS/SCI clearance required. #QinetiQClearedJob

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP desired.
  • JADC2 / BMC3 knowledge and experience desired.
