A caregiver in this role will support Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital’s Mole Center Investigational Drug Service and Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (IDS/REMS). Pharmacists are responsible for knowing the purposes, effects, and side effects of various drugs. Caregivers in this role should be able to tell from looking at a patient's profile whether or not it is safe to combine new medications with the medications that the patient is already taking. Modern drugs have the potential to significantly improve patient's quality of life, however, they must be taken correctly, with the proper frequency, and in the appropriate dosage. 

A caregiver in this position works weekdays, 7:30am – 4:00pm, no holidays and no float requirements.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services. 

  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. 

  • Document services in a complete, accurate, and timely manner. 

  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards. 

  • Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences. 

  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. 

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire. 

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days (for individuals required to administer immunizations).  

  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA). For caregivers required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest, this is
