Summary of Job Duties:

The Skilled Trades Helper will provide assistance to Journeymen in various trades such as; Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing. This position will provide assistance with assembly, installation, and assists with repairing and inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs, and related equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License


Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience and/or knowledge in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic measuring tools, equipment, and materials used in the various skilled trades
  • Skill in the use, operation, and care of tools and machinery
  • Ability to perform manual labor under various working conditions
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in various working conditions
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in various environments
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products such as ema
