The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.

We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to lead our Sleep Medicine and Pulmonary Care office located on the campus of Salem Hospital at 55 Highland Ave, Salem, MA. We provide state-of-the-art care to patients with pulmonary disease, sleep disorders, and critical illnesses. Our physicians diagnose and treat conditions related to the lungs and respiratory system.

There are 20 staff members total (both clinical and non-clinical roles), as well as 11 providers (MDs and APPs). Our providers mainly see patients at the Salem office and regularly rotate out to additional satellite locations in Danvers, Beverly, Lynn, Rowley, Medford, and Salem, NH. Our practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

In collaboration with the Regional Executive Director, North Region Specialty Services and the Medical Director, the Practice Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the practice, assuring that quality services are provided to patients in an environment that maximally fosters healing relationships between those patients and their health care team.

Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for small-medium single-site practice or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct supervision of the administrative and clinical support staff, and operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, provides administrative cross coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues.

Essential Functions
-Oversees the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manage staff schedules. Evaluates daily staffing needs and coordinates replacement of staff.
-Performs hiring, orientation and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective action if appropriate.
-Assists in the career development of practice employees through on-going coaching, counseling, and training. Ensures all mandatory training is completed by staff and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed by staff.
-Evaluates, develops and implements administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations. Regularly evaluates and analyzes practice performance metrics. Collaborates with practice leaders on the preparation of the practice's annual budgets.
-Oversees the department’s payroll including the resolution of payroll issues. Monitors patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures.


 

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required


Experience
2-3 years Supervisory experience required

2-3 years' experience working in an academic healthcare environment required
