Raytheon’s Field Engineering is currently seeking a Field Engineer to provide – O-level support for the APY-10 Radar at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. The radar is mounted on the US Navy’s P8A aircraft.
Tech Reps in support of P-8A operations at Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, FL and to NAS Whidbey Island, WA, when not on a short-term CONUS or Outside of CONUS (OCONUS) support tasking.
Requirement for extended shore deployments in combat zones.
What You Will Do
- Participate in installation planning phase of the system. Some travel may be required.
- Conduct necessary tests and checks of installed Radars, verifying radar faults and analyzing failures.
- Oversee installation, check out, operation, repair, and modification of equipment.
- Provide guidance and training to customer personnel and establish maintenance and inspection procedures and techniques.
- Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action(s) and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency arid/or reduce cost of operation.
- Devise and implements predetermined programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment.
- Providing guidance and training to O-level military and civilian maintenance technicians in the field; at permanently assigned duty locations and while deployed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must be experienced with Avionics troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and operator training.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Aircraft radar maintenance experience with the P-8 or P-3 platform.
- Adept in verifying faults and analyzing failures.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
