QO Technician III

Role Description

The Quality Operations Lab Technician III works effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory in support of laboratory activities.  This position will support the Quality Control Chemistry department and is instrumental to the success of the Quality Control labs. You will have the opportunity to cross train within different laboratories to learn new techniques and enhance your current skillset.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITES

• Sample login, delivery, and destruction
• Filing
• Document revision and processing
• Miscellaneous project work
• Ordering/stocking of supplies using a Kanban system
• Maintenance and organization of common areas using 5S
• Washing analytical glassware
• Management of hazardous waste

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• AAS or BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science; relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree
• Excellent attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to multi-task
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Suite are preferred
• Previous experience in a GMP environment is preferred
• Job duties involve occasional lifting (less than 35 lbs), reaching, and sitting while working at computer terminal
• Candidate must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive
