As a Software Architect, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading the development of world class software for the Healthcare Industry
  • Implementing and incorporating good Security practices in Software Development
  • Determining the most optimum solution for a given problem
  • Supporting and collaborating with other engineers in solving problems and global teams
  • Creating well tested, high-quality Software following a Test-Driven Development model

Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs
  • Research and evaluate technical standards and tools
  • Analyze existing systems and propose improvements
  • Design scalable and robust software solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Select technologies, frameworks and tools for development
  • Distribute software development tasks to the team
  • Support process improvements by documenting troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support to assist with critical client issues.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND Six (6) years of Software Engineering experience OR High School Diploma AND 10 years of Software Engineering experience
     

Additional qualifications that will help you succeed in the role:

  • 4+ years of experience with Java and SpringBoot including Multithreaded programming
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker and Linux
  • 2+ years of experience with at least one scripting language (example: Python, Ruby, Bash etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience with any deployment tool such as Terraform and/or Ansible
  • MLOPS experience (Optional)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Consul, Prometheus, Rancher
  • Experience with development tools (CI/CD, Build Systems, Github Actions)
  • Cloud experience
  • DB experience
  • Open-Source Software contributions, if any

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Pittsburgh, PA)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
