Adjunct Lecturer of Accounting

Description

The College of Business at Stony Brook University invites applications for an Adjunct Lecturer of Accounting. We are seeking a knowledgeable expert in individual taxation, federal taxation, governmental & nonprofit accounting, managerial accounting, financial accounting, auditing, and/or information security & emerging technology in accounting. A suitable candidate will have expertise in at least one of these areas, ideally in all.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accounting
• Develop course content and materials in accordance with college and area guidelines
• Provide academic support and guidance to students
• Participate in departmental meetings and activities as required

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Accounting, Tax, M.B.A., or a closely related field. Prior experience or demonstrated ability to teach in an educational institution or corporate/executive setting. Significant experience working in the field of accounting.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
CPA license would be desirable.
