E-Commerce Fraud and Risk Associate

The E-Commerce Fraud and Risk Associate role is a full-time position responsible for supporting GOVX’s efforts to prevent fraudulent activity, promote customer satisfaction via financial transaction processing, and minimize related financial losses. The role will work in conjunction with the Accounting team and will report to the e-Commerce Fraud and Risk Manager.

Responsibilities

• Review orders flagged by automated fraud prevention systems, including investigating account details, verify information via phone and email communications with customers as needed, and make final judgements on risk.
• Aid in the processing of customer order issues including returns, cancellations, and refunds.
• Investigate violations of Terms of Use and educate customers on compliance.
• Identify and report trends and communicate to others on the Accounting team and across departments to improve fraud prevention procedures.
• Investigate and resolve chargebacks with a customer-oriented approach and provide evidence to dispute unsupported claims.
• Aid in the processing, resolution and classification of customer-facing issues including returns, cancellations and chargebacks.
• Assemble financial or informational reports as requested.
• Solve order management issues to ensure fulfillment in a timely and accurate manner.
  

Position type and expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hybrid position, with 8 hour days and flexible lunch time/length. Typical work hours may vary dependent on volume demands. Generally Monday thru Friday, and would be ideal if open to working 4-8 weekend hours with some regularity during Q4 (CA overtime law will apply).

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)

Supervisory Experience
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements
No travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment subject to state and local health ordinances. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Work Location
This is a hybrid position that combines working onsite at the GOVX corporate office in San Diego, CA and working remotely from home. You will be required to report to the office a minimum of three days per week. No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.

Pay Range
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
