consider applicants at the Highway Project Scheduling/Program Analyst level.
- Highway Project Scheduling/Program Analyst: Pay range is $25.101 - $37.002 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
- Highway Project Scheduling/Program Coordinator: Pay range is $29.008 - $42.761 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
JOB DUTIES:
The Highway Project Scheduling/Programming Coordinator plays an important
role in preparing federal aid-funded transportation construction projects for
advertisement.
You will:
- Manage a program of 20 to 30 projects at a time and be responsible for scope, cost, and schedule.
- Be involved with every phase of projects from initiation through to construction.
- Learn the Federal and State requirements and steps to prepare a construction project for advertisement.
- Be part of the "Super team" of technical project managers assigned to oversee projects within a region.
- Be empowered to identify and resolve project issues by working with executive and technical staff.
- Customize project schedules and tasks in an electronic Project Management system used by hundreds of NDOT employees.
- Conduct and attend meetings with technical experts to assess and mitigate project schedule risks.
- Report project risks and proposed solutions to executive teams.
- Improve quality of life for fellow Nebraskans and travelers through our state.
- Work in and promote an environment of partnership, continuous learning, and process improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Highway Project Scheduling/Program Analyst: Post high school coursework/training in engineering, engineering technology, highway construction or maintenance, or project management, and experience in using personal computers to access and use various software programs and databases to extract and prepare data and reports.
Highway Project Scheduling/Program Coordinator: Four years post high school coursework/training in engineering, construction management/science, or computer science AND two years experience in pre-construction design, or technical construction, or computer science activities and procedures, to include the use of project scheduling computer applica
