ING is looking to recruit a Head of Global HR Digital (GJA20), reporting to the Global Head of HR Operations within the COO People domain.

Summary of role

The Head of Global Digital HR will lead our digital HR roadmap and projects, focusing on enhancing the employee experience through innovative technology solutions. This role is pivotal in leading the strategic initiatives to digitize, automate, and streamline our Global HR operations and service offering, and fostering a positive work environment. Including the creation of an inclusive digital and accessible environment for all our employees. The role will ensure to leverage more innovative, data-driven and digital solutions, and focus on making more processes flow without manual interventions (Straight-through-processing, STP).

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR processes, a passion for digital innovation, and a proven track record of managing large-scale technology projects in a global setting. This role is pivotal for the ambition of ING HR to improve our Employee Experience NPS score over the next two years up to +40 from currently +25.

Key responsibilities 

  • Digital HR strategy

  • Develop and execute our Global Digital HR Strategy in alignment with the overall Bank's digital transformation goals

  • Clear strategy around prioritization and focus on process level

  • In the lead to put GHR in the frontline for any AI/ML opportunities

  • Identify and implement new HR technologies that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and create a better employee experience

  • In the lead for creating an inclusive digital and accessible environment for all our employees

  • Team management

  • Day-to-day management of the team

  • Set high standards for quality within the team

  • Establish processes that allow the team to work efficiently and accurately

  • Team is properly staffed (quality and quantity)

  • Focus on (individual) development and continuous improvement of individual and team performance

  • Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; recognize achievements and take appropriate corrective action where necessary

  • Foster an open, collaborative accountability culture within the team

  • Encourage team members to share their opinions and know when to listen, empathize, respond, or act on team input.

  • Driving Straight-through-processing/HR process optimization

  • Bring the level of digitalisation of HR processes from 30% today, to 80% in next 3 years

  • In the lead to increase the number of steps processes automatically without manual intervention, as a result this should decrease the percentage of errors

  • Driving automation and efficiency across all HR processes, looking from an end-to-end perspective

  • Align with senior stakeholders to prioritize the need for automation to improve service delivery times 

  • Optimizing Employee Experience

  • Leading initiatives that improve our employee experience with an user-centric approach for our employees. With a team of Digital Specialists who are in the lead of projects, Process Mining Expert who deep dive into the gaps across all processes, accessibility experts who know the ins and outs on how to create an accessible and digital environment for our employees and a blackbelt to guide the team in understanding the requirements, dependencies and prioritizing the needs.

Experience

  • A Master’s degree in preferably in Human Resources, Economics or Business Management

  • +6 years’ experience in Digital Transformation, HR technologies, and process improvement initiatives

  • +6 years’ experience in leading a cross-functional team

  • General HR experience in a global, complex environment

  • Knows how to drive operational excellence
