The EUV source team in San Diego operates in a fast-paced, uniquely innovative, and challenging environment to create new-to-industry solutions with rapid productization to support an aggressive commercialization plan for the EUV technology within ASML. Working at Cymer-ASML is therefore challenging and extremely dynamic.
In this position you will be part of the team that integrates a wide variety of Hardware, Software and other deliveries into the Source system that performs at a specified level. IC-06 secures Availability of the Source by creating a robust install and serviceability strategy and making sure the source meets the Availability, Serviceability, Diagnostics, Reliability and Cost of Service specifications set by System Engineering. Your primary role is to define the strategy to ensure that released system configurations meet the business line requirements with focus on Reliability, Availability, & Diagnostics.
The Reliability, Availability, & Diagnostics Engineer works closely with the Industrialization Project Lead, Product Owners, and architects to drive the Industrialization of ASML machines within requirements. In this position you will be part of the team that integrates a wide variety of Hardware, Software and other deliveries into the Source system that performs at a specified level.
Role and responsibilities
Perform availability assessment & feedback loop activities. This refers to work required to analyze current status and close the feedback loop for availability. Efforts may include: ‘bottom-up’ analysis of availability status for specific functional clusters (FCs), test execution development and support, and analysis and feedback of learnings from testing
Uses highly detailed and specialized tools and databases to conduct data analysis and generate data models for the availability team
Provide reliability feedback and reports from projects and FCs to Architect and Product Owner bi-weekly
Interacts with cross-functional groups (Project leads, Product Owners, System Engineering, Manufacturing and Equipment Engineers, Upgrade, Sequence, Availability, Diagnostics architects, worldwide customer support personnel, manufacturing personnel, program, upper management, marketing), crosses functional boundaries and builds constructive and effective relationships throughout the whole organization
Provides feedback for improvement of processes and WoW (Way of Working; i.e. best business practices) used by the System Industrialization team
Reports all issues found, and prioritizes them based on impact to availability and cycle time and contributes to issue business case definition by providing all relevant information
Drives availability to specification by closing the feedback loop field to functional clusters
Produces clear, concise documentation in defined ASML formats
Works according to set safety standards in and outside of the cleanroom
Assists in collecting data, performing data analysis, summarizing results, and preparing presentation of results for review
Travels to ASML headquarters in Veldhoven, Netherlands for cross-ocean team alignment and support as well as customer sites Industrialization support (5-10%)
System Industrialization Engineer 3 - Education and experience
Minimum 2 years of experience required with BS degree. BS in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Math or any other applicable STEM degree
MS in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Applied Physics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. No experience required with MS degree
Experience in coding a strong plus
Knowledge and experiences in high-tech machinery, optics, laser-induced plasma, optical metrology, and/or controls of such devices preferred, not required
Experiences with vacuum systems a plus
Experiences in semiconductor equipment development a strong plus
Product development experience a strong plus
The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$80,250-133,750. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
